NORANTZ and Kilian Jornet Over the Alps
From August 14th to September 2nd, Kilian Jornet conquered the 82 peaks over 4,000 meters in the Alps in just 19 days. NORANTZ had the honor of being part of this incredible feat, providing the tools Kilian and his team needed to fully embrace this challenge.
The challenge: 82 peaks, 19 days
On August 14th, Kilian Jornet embarked on one of the most ambitious challenges of his career: linking all possible 4,000-meter summits in the Alps as quickly as possible, relying solely on human-powered resources. This journey was filled with physical, technical, and mental challenges. Less than 20 days later, on September 1st, Kilian had completed his mission. This achievement not only speaks to his skill as a mountaineer but also to his commitment to nature, human endurance, and environmental responsibility.
At NORANTZ, we believe that every adventure is a step toward the next challenge. Our philosophy aligns with Kilian’s: always seeking to go further, exploring the unknown, and pushing beyond one’s own limits.
That’s why we were the “technical partners” for this project, providing two NORANTZ IPAR 2+2 campervans that served as mobile base camps and operational centers throughout the expedition. The vans were not just a means of transport, but a support platform where Kilian and his team could rest, cook, plan, and enjoy the most important moments of the journey.
United by the philosophy of overcoming challenges
Our collaboration in this project goes beyond logistics. NORANTZ means “where we are going” in Basque, because we are always looking to the future, to the next challenge. We are driven by curiosity, a passion for exploration, and the determination to reach new destinations, both on the road and in life. We believe Kilian shares this same spirit, making this collaboration especially meaningful for us.
